Kodama Boards

Beauty, Function and Fortune

CHARCUTERIE KODAMA BOARDS

What we love about Kodama boards: No two pieces are ever alike. Each unique slab is made of black walnut wood adorned with crystals, glass and minerals, then sealed with food-safe epoxy resin. Available in a variety of shapes and sizes, they make for an extraordinary presentation of charcuterie or other food items.

A great gift, these versatile boards can also be displayed or mounted on a wall. Prices range from $160 to $700.

The story behind Kodama: In Japanese lore, “Kodama” is an ancient word used to describe the spirit or deity that inhabits trees. Should a tree be cut down needlessly without purpose, it is said that one will feel the Kodama’s wrath. Conversely, when that tree is repurposed into something of use and beauty, good fortune is realized.
