In keeping with Deborah’s focus on nature and landscape, she also works with black walnut, creating one-of-a-kind tables that rest on upcycled steel sculpture bases.
Deborah accepts commissions to create bespoke live-edge tables with custom bases.
Kodama: “Kodama” is an ancient Japanese word used to describe the spirit or deity that inhabits trees. It is said that one will feel the Kodama’s wrath should a tree be needlessly cut down without purpose. Conversely, good fortune is realized when the tree, a sacred resource, is repurposed into something of use and beauty. Kodama tables are made of live edge cedar or black walnut—embellished with crystals, quartz, rocks or gemstones—set on a concrete or metal base.
